Alfaião

In the countryside painted in white by the frost, the birds sing while entrapping the hunter who warms himself in the early sunlight. In the fireplace, the wood crackles in the fire and warms the elderly who are making siesta accompanied by their cat. We are in the village, where there it is always too hot despite the cold weather and the rain once in a while. This village is Alfaião.

Shikisai: Four Seasons of Tohoku

Tohoku is rich in the scenery change by the four seasons in Japan. The contrast of the color of each season is unique to the snowy country. It is also known as “Shikisai”, and I have imaged colorful landscapes and seasonal festivals in Tohoku.
