Rockaruma

A struggling young man carries with him a handmade Daruma doll – a memento from his childhood – as he sets out to fulfill a vow he made as a boy: to kill the man that abused him as a child and made his life a living hell – his father.

His quest for revenge will not only pitch him against the monster that held control over him all his life, but also against his own trauma, as his search for revenge forces suppressed memories and emotions to quell to the surface.

“Rockaruma” is a dramatic Neo-Western that explores the role of anger in the process of healing from abuse, but also serves as a fantasy about standing up to your abuser, justice, and moving on.
