Çördük

The distance between the road and the soil becomes a single step for Seyfullah—yet one he cannot cross. As life continues in a rural village shaped by water and silence, the quietly flowing Çördük bears witness to his stillness. Seyfullah watches the woman he loves from afar, choosing silence and avoidance over action, while time moves forward and traces slowly fade.

Years later, Seyfullah returns to the same place, facing a moment he can no longer postpone. When he finally steps onto the soil, the gesture offers no release—only acceptance. ÇÖRDÜK is a minimalist short screenplay that traces a suppressed love and a delayed confrontation through water, earth, and time.
