Independent musician Gǎ’ěr Dōng 自驾 (drove himself) through 108 Tibetan-inhabited counties and prefectures in Sichuan, Qinghai, Yunnan, and Tibet for a tour, setting up stages in places like snowy mountains and pasturelands. He uses original folk and rock music to convey Tibetan culture. His works integrate elements such as legends and herdsmen’s lives. During the tour, the natural and cultural landscapes resonate with the music, demonstrating cultural perseverance and innovation.
