At midnight, Xiao Mei, an international student living off-campus, finds it difficult to sleep due to her roommate’s gaming sounds and the cries of a cat in heat, forcing her to resort to sleeping pills. Upon waking, Xiao Mei, unable to find a new place after calling the housing agency, watches a video on making sausages and is struck by an idea. She tosses bread laced with sleeping pills and orange juice at the cat and her roommate, then goes to the market to buy pork and other ingredients. After making the sausages, she sleeps peacefully with no noise in her room. Upon awakening, Xiao Mei reaches for orange juice in the fridge, where the pork still remains. Ignoring a call from the housing agency, she invites friends to taste the sausages. As her friends eagerly await, Xiao Mei serves the sausages with a sinister smile. Suddenly, she wakes from her dream to find no meat in the fridge when reaching for the orange juice. She receives a call from the housing agency with good news and plans to meet friends to buy meat for making sausages, leaving them puzzled about why she still wants to make more. Meanwhile, in a well-ventilated area, sausages hang drying.
