Just before the Mid-Autumn Festival, 8-year-old Lele and his parents suddenly visit his grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, to offer their greetings. The unexpected visit disrupts the quiet life of the elderly woman and her caregiver. As lunchtime approaches, the caregiver volunteers to prepare extra dishes, but Lele’s mother refuses, opting instead to order takeout for the rushed meal. Lele’s father, although deeply concerned for his ailing mother, spends the entire visit focused on his work. After an awkward meal, the elderly woman is ignored by the family, and due to her Alzheimer’s, she loses control of her bowels and soils herself. When Lele’s mother notices and attempts to have the caregiver address the issue, the young Lele loudly exposes his grandmother’s embarrassing situation, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. However, it is the caregiver, who has no blood relation to the elderly woman, who silently helps her to the bathroom and takes care of her with compassion.
