In the not-too-distant future, Stella (25) lives in a controlled, solitary world where technology regulates every aspect of her life. In her impeccably organized home, the “CARE” app provides her with a sense of accomplishment through a points system that monitors her acts of care towards others—though those bonds are mediated by devices and protocols. But when Stella ventures into the outside world, she encounters a vibrant, open community where people value direct connection and human contact.

As she immerses herself in this chaotic yet warm environment, Stella grapples with the discomfort of life without technology, where freedom is synonymous with uncertainty. Her interactions with her mother, who lives in the community, and her father, who leads a simple life in the orchards, reveal a deep disconnection within herself.

On her journey, Stella attempts to reconcile her need for control and validation with a desire for something more genuine. In the final scene, as she observes the moon alongside her father, Stella seems torn between both worlds, engaged in a silent search that remains enigmatic.
