Three University of Chicago students embark on a journey to document the collective memory and legacy of Chicago House music. Their exploration reveals the genre’s deep roots in the struggles and triumphs of the Black House community in a segregated and gentrified city. Through intimate conversations with House legends, such as Leonard “Remix Rroy”, DJ Lady D and Gene Hunt, and regular partygoers in the scene, the film celebrates House music as a resilient anthem of the ‘80s that united a city under an infectious groove.
