Staring Sullivan Stapleton, “Bookmark” is an introspective and deeply personal look at memory, loss and the inevitability of change, charting a father and son’s journey in the recent wake of family tragedy.

Told from the point of view of a middle-aged man looking back to his childhood, the film juxtaposes youthful ideals of imagination and fantasy with the formative ways in which negative circumstance can facilitate a child’s view into an adult world. The film is ultimately about the ways in which we try to hold onto moments and memories, desperately seeking to fight against transience and hold to the now.
