Evie, a melancholy character-for-hire in L.A., has a habit of saying “I love you” on every third date—sending men running and breaking her own heart. Her circus misfit friends, Maggie the Bearded Lady and Jonah the Strong Man, try to save both their friendship and their act as Evie spirals.
After one heartbreak too many, Evie quits and drifts into a surreal, Fellini-inspired dream where she confronts her shadow self. Six months later, she’s back—ready for another third date. But when her date, Leo, says “I love you” first, time freezes. The world holds its breath awaiting Evie replies.
