This film is probably about climate change, and global warming. Ice melts, water rises. But maybe there is also poverty in it, and pain. Maybe it is about solitude, or helplessness. Or maybe simply about sadness. We all know things are getting bad but it always seems to escape our grasp. Life goes on and there is no way to hold it. This movie is almost certainly about the times we live in and the decay we witness. But maybe it is simply about the throat cancer I had a couple of years ago that still waits for me in the background of my life. I don’t know.
