While feeling depressed and defeated, Ashley decides to give up on entering a renowned, triannual portrait competition. In doing so, she is more than just missing an opportunity for her talent to be seen- she is giving up on her lifelong dream. Allowing the sting of past rejection to get to her, Ashley stays in for the afternoon and falls asleep. She is woken by an unexpected visitor. The ghost of her deceased best friend, Chloe, stops by to see how life has been treating Ashley. What first seemed just to be a friendly check-in, turns into a deep and transformational conversation between the two girls. Chloe’s reflections and outlook help Ashley get her life back on track- encouraging her not just to never give up on her dreams, but also to never give up on herself.
