For ordinary people, a museum is typically a place to view artifacts and learn about history. Yet in the eyes of archaeologists, the true essence carried by an artifact extends far beyond the confines of a curated display case. Can academic depth coexist with engaging appeal to the general public? This remains a critical challenge as archaeology proceeds in the new era.
