Nick is tormented by a voicemail from his childhood friend, reaching out to him only days before her death. Now, at her funeral reception, Nick attempts to uncover the root of this tragedy, reuniting with the last of his former friend group—a pair more preoccupied with curating the perfect memorial post than any meaningful reflection—and Arya’s mother, similarly desperate to preserve the cherished image of her daughter.
