Two friends, Matthew and Ken, visit New York’s Museum of Modern Art on a hot summer day. As they wander through crowded galleries filled with modern masterpieces, they debate art, beauty, loyalty, and the absurdity of contemporary life.
Matthew, an overthinking ex-professor, and Ken, a quiet doctor with a bag full of pandemic leftovers, get sidetracked when Matthew’s worn-out shoe accidentally becomes mistaken for a modern art installation. What starts as a simple museum visit spirals into comic misunderstandings, philosophical rambling, and a confrontation with Ken’s ex-wife, Sophia.
Amid arguments about Van Gogh, pop art, elevators, and existential despair, Matthew and Ken stumble upon the ridiculous truth: in a world obsessed with appearances, even a lost shoe can earn more attention than a human being.
