We are proud to welcome Stephen Tobolowsky as a guest speaker for this year’s Industry Panel at the Indie Short Fest Annual Awards 2026.

A highly prolific character actor and writer, Tobolowsky is widely recognized for his roles in Groundhog Day, Memento, Silicon Valley, Californication, Glee, The Goldbergs, and Norman Lear’s 2017 revival of One Day at a Time. His performances—ranging from the unforgettable Ned Ryerson to the haunting Sammy Jankis—highlight a career defined by versatility and precision. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in over 250 movies and television shows.
Beyond screen work, he has built a strong presence as a storyteller and stage actor, earning a Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of Homer in Morning’s at Seven in 2002.
He also connects with audiences through his acclaimed podcast The Tobolowsky Files, available on Apple Podcasts, and his published collections of personal stories, including The Dangerous Animals Club and My Adventures with God (Simon & Schuster).
At this year’s Indie Short Fest Annual Awards, Stephen Tobolowsky will also be featured on screen in Watching Walter, part of Program 10 (12:40 – 2:25 PM) at Cinema 10.
