This documentary captures the life and spirit of Kamla Devi, a folk singer from the hills of Uttarakhand whose voice carries generations of tradition, struggle, and strength. Through intimate moments and real-life events, the film explores her journey as an artist, her connection to her roots, and the challenges she continues to face.
Recently, her home in Bageshwar—once a place filled with music and memories—had to be demolished due to a snake infestation. Yet, even amidst uncertainty, Kamla Devi’s passion for singing remains unshaken. Her songs become not just melodies, but expressions of resilience, identity, and survival.
