The Settler’s Paths

In the midst of Colombia’s civil war in the 1950s, a peasant family escapes political violence after their home is burned. Guided by a charismatic radio broadcast promoting the government’s “land for men without land” program, they journey into the Amazon in search of a new beginning. But in the depths of the jungle, the promise of progress reveals another cycle of displacement, survival, and silent conquest.

Directed by José Gregorio Liz (Colombia)
