Twelve centuries after a Viking fleet sailed the Loire to establish a camp on the Île Batailleuse, fifteen men and women attempt to test its reality.

Aboard two 9th-century reconstructed vessels, with no modern assistance and only limited supplies, they travel from Tours to Nantes, facing the river’s shifting currents, sandbanks and physical exhaustion.

Blending experimental archaeology with adventure storytelling, the journey becomes a collective human experience where navigating the river means confronting both history and oneself.
