Following their mother’s terminal diagnosis, estranged sisters Keira and Lauren are forcibly brought back together to fulfill a final journey and a haunting last wish. Having not spoken in nearly three years, the two are thrust into the claustrophobic intimacy of a car where the silence of their shared past is deafening. The rift between them is defined by a toxic cycle of Keira’s rigid, micromanaging attitude and Lauren’s deeply ingrained avoidance behaviors-defense mechanisms that drove them apart and now threaten to derail their mother’s final request. As the miles pass, the physical confinement of the vehicle acts as a pressure cooker, forcing these two opposing forces to occupy the same air while grappling with a grief they both process in fundamentally incompatible ways.

In this poignant exploration of grief and sisterhood, Keira and Lauren must decide if they can finally dismantle their emotional armor to carry the weight of their mother’s legacy together, or if the friction of their conflicting personalities will leave them permanently fractured before they reach their destination. The journey serves as an emotional gauntlet where every mile uncovered is a layer of resentment peeled back, exposing the raw vulnerability hidden beneath Keira’s need for control and Lauren’s instinct to run. Ultimately, the film examines whether the shared trauma of loss is enough to bridge a three-year chasm of silence, or if the survival tactics they developed to endure their upbringing have become too heavy to ever truly set down.
