In 1930s Kansas, a lone man by the name of Francis survives one monotonous day at a time. When another dust storm rolls through his town and shrouds his home in darkness, Francis hunkers down as he always does. Only, for the first time, a stranger comes to his door seeking shelter. Inviting this mysterious man inside will lead Francis to question his way of life, his faith, and a deep guilt that he has carried in silence.
