On his way home from high school, 15-year-old Zach stumbles upon a pirate named Barnacle Bill, a 55-year-old uncommon Shanty Man from the 1700s, trapped in a barrel. Together, they embark on daring escapades: stealing pumpkins and beer to win the admiration of Zach’s crush, battling school bullies with swashbuckling flair, and embarking on a poignant quest to reunite Bill with his long-lost, deceased friend, Captain Willy.
