Azul

Mourning her older sister Yahritza’s unexpected passing, 17 year old AZUL is left isolated and disconnected from her own family. Grappling with Yahritza’s absence and having to let go of her belongings, Azul keeps her nameplate.

Yearning for a remedy to her loneliness, Azul catches sight of an all pink lowrider as it cruises by full of lady lowriders. Enamored by their energy, she follows them to a lowriding event where she encounters ESTELLA, the newest and youngest member of the club who invites her to a meet up.

After Yahritza’s funeral ends in turmoil and a broken chain, Azul picks up the pieces and seeks out Estella and the lady lowriders. Alongside the club, Azul begins to find respite from her grief and a new way forward on her first cruise around the streets of LA.
