In the Mime and the Clown, Tom and Willa, a tumultuous couple performing as a mime and clown duo act at children’s parties, find their relationship at a crossroads. The story unfolds as Willa, exasperated with their chaotic lifestyle, confronts Tom in an emotionally charged conversation. True to her clownish persona, Willa uses humor and antics to provoke a response from her reserved, non-verbal partner. In a heartfelt and unconventional gesture, Tom expresses his feelings for Willa in the only way he knows—through the art of mime.
