Zihan and her mom are migrants in the City of Beijing. They do not own a home. Zihan’s parents divorced when she was little; her father was deeply in debt from gambling and passed away; her mother works hard on various odd jobs to support the family. Home is where mom is. Despite the challenges, Zihan has a deep passion for music and painting, and uses her brush to paint the homes she lived in, and the home in her dreams.
