The Archaeology Diary

Posted by

At the archaeological site of the Qin Dynasty Xianyang Palace in Shaanxi Province of China, many ordinary people, like Wu Xinmin and Wang Huili, work diligently under the scorching summer heat. None of them have formal academic training in archaeology; instead, they stumbled upon this field by chance and have been working in it for decades. Neither Wu nor Wang has made any significant contributions to China’s archaeological discovery. Yet, it doesn’t affect their love for this profession. They go to work on the site every day, and get excited over every small new discovery.
