Chinese immigrant JIAN, drives his talented footballer son THEO, to a trial at a professional club’s youth academy.
But Jian’s desperate attempts to galvanise his son threatens their relationship and raises the eyebrows of the coaches for the wrong reasons – jeopardising his opportunity.
Despite an emphatic performance from Theo, Jian discovers that the system holds certain biases and that there might be more to securing a coveted academy place than just skill.
