“The land is the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for, because it is the only thing that lasts…”
– Margaret Mitchell

There are roughly 250 million acres of public land in the United States, and these federal public lands are held in trust for all Americans. The majority of these lands can be found west of Colorado, and are considered multi-use properties including everything from recreation to timber.

Every American has a say in how these places get used, however one of the greatest threats our public land faces today, is closures due to misuse.

Public Land Stewards is on a mission to keep our public lands accessible and protected in Central Oregon, with the hope that our work here will inspire others to take better care of Mother Nature throughout the Western US in the future.

This Land is Our Land is a documentary film which tells the story of Public Land Stewards and their fight against misuse of public lands.

Directed by Grace Schuessler (USA)
