The film “5 Minutes” explores the themes of child loss, unintended pregnancy, and abortion. It follows the story of two women who meet at an abortion clinic, each with different reasons for seeking the procedure. Throughout the film, they engage in conversations and alternate between the reality of the clinic and their dream/nightmare worlds. Through words and visuals, they share their experiences and the challenges they face. This dramatic film aims to shed light on the complexity of abortions and their social, psychological, and physical impacts on women, both in real and dream sequences. It seeks to destigmatize the topic and emphasize the importance of allowing women to make (legally) free decisions without political, private, or societal pressures.

Directed by Ivana Rauchmann (Austria)
