Logline:

Modern Alma does not sacrifice herself, but shows that survival is more glamorous than death.

Synopsis:

Her mother’s death has left Alma without the capacity for a happy maternal relationship and tenderness. Alma lives as a captive in the world of her own internal contradictions. Her life is a mix of restlessness and frustration, as well as love and happiness in different aspects. Can simultaneous opposites lead to purification completeness?

The timeless indie short film based on the poem Alma by the Finnish national writer Aleksis Kivi deals with the sensitivity and power of the human mind.

Directed by Aarne Kempas (Finland)
