In the wake of a broken engagement, Andrea uses her actor friend Luke as a replacement “fake fiancé” so as not to disappoint her mother, who comes from out of town to meet her future son-in-law. The lie falls apart and Andrea is forced to come clean with her mother about her situation. However, her mother has secrets of her own.
