After experiencing a sudden shadow of death – witnessing someone’s fatal leap from a building, Ni Hao, a woman living alone with a speech disorder, became even more sensitive to her surroundings. In order to protect herself and create the illusion of not living alone, she picked up a pair of men’s leather shoes from a street-side trash bin, intending to place them outside her door. However, when her male colleague at work found out, he thought it was foolish. In her embarrassment, Ni Hao ended up giving the found shoes as a birthday gift to her colleague.
In the following days, Ni Hao noticed that someone was constantly tailing her on her way home…
