Zoom had been fascinated by speed since he was a little boy. He grew up with his best friend Shun and had been cycling around Hong Kong together. They promised each other to become professional cyclists.
As Shun later emigrated with his family, they parted ways after finishing primary school. Nevertheless, they kept in touch online from time to time and still chatted enthusiastically about bikes and gears. Zoom dreamed of becoming a professional cyclist, but the reality stopped him from chasing his dream. He was distraught over his friend’s success in cycling and had an accident under the neon lights.
