Sage

When nineteen-year-old Sage is pushed to her limits by the debilitating transphobia of her parents, she flees home in hopes of a better life. Her aspiration of being accepted for who she is seems to become feasible soon after she moves in with two girls around her age who introduce her to Beck, a scout for one of the city’s largest modeling agencies. However, her chance at success is squandered when Beck discovers her identity as a trans girl after an intimate encounter and assaults her. When all hope feels lost, Sage receives a message from her estranged father attempting to lure her back to her toxic home life. She then must make a critical decision: to return to life as “Shawn” and give up her one chance at an unapologetic life as herself, or to persevere and find solace in personal validation.
