A mid-20s woman drives around LA, texting loose friends and dialing booty calls to no avail. The evening descends into a self destructive joy ride whose catalyst becomes all too clear in a final phone call with her parents.
In the haze of booze and isolation, Hang Up explores language in its many forms. Through text, dialogue and subtext it guides the story, showing what happens when a woman’s language fails her as words and their meanings misalign.
