Clear is about the clarity that our environment is in danger and understanding what side you are on. It’s proof that anyone can be changed to respect nature’s beauty, you just have to see it for yourself. It’s the urgency that something has to be done now, and that it cannot wait. That we all have that rebel in us that wants to do what’s right. This story is about a team whose job is to find land to pull resources from its environment. When they crash lands on a desolate unforgiving icy landscape, they must find a way back home while protecting their mission plans (a folder of classified documents) to pull resources from the environment. As they travel to find an escape from this landscape, Jono (main character) continues to see another version of himself in all red trying to steal the mission plans and take him off course from his team. During these chases with this other version of himself, he is transported to seeing the beauty this desolate landscape has to offer. He continues the chase to get the plans back but is pulled back to reality as if it was just a dream. His team is waiting for him and he has the plans back. While continuing the escape journey with his team, they find a power plant and look to explore this location for clues to a way home. While inside the power plant, Jono is curious about the mission plans and hides from his team. He looks through all the plans to discover how horrible these plans are and is in shock. Just then the other version of himself steals the plans and Jono chases him around the power plant. This chase leads to other nature locations such as glacier ice caves until Jono is led to a clearing with an aurora. Awe-struck by the beauty, he has a change of heart and understands what he is doing with this mission is wrong. He destroys the plans and realizes that this other version of himself was actually himself this whole time, rebelling against these destructive plans. He is then caught red handed by his teammates and they aren’t changed and want to continue with the original agenda to go home and return with information on how to pull resources from this land. They try to stop him from radioing anyone about these destructive plans and they catch him, stopping him from spreading the word. They leave him on a glacier alone, allowing his teammates the chance to continue on and escape home. The biggest enemy to stopping climate change is not coming together. We must all be on the same page in order to save our planet, it cannot be done alone.
