CCAR is one of the United State’s original Recovery Community Organizations, founded in 1998. The “Recovery Storytelling” video series seeks to tell honest, powerful stories from individuals in Recovery from substance use. In this installment of the series, Rebecca, a CCAR Director, tells us a story of motherhood, incarceration, and addiction. This story cuts to the core of the issue of how we treat one another and the judgement, specifically reserved by some, for mothers affected by substance use.
