Keeping Time documents the working lives of four independent musicians as they navigate the increasingly competitive digital music industry. Set in Western Australia, the documentary explores how these independent musicians have to adopt an entrepreneurial attitude if they are to transcend financial precarity and take hold of the opportunities of the digitally-driven music market. Keeping Time forms part of a sociology honours thesis that addresses time, work and discipline.
