This is a strange experimental look at adolescents. The J-boys were four friends that I met in kindergarten. Jason Alonzi, Jeff Moser, Joe Thompson, and Joe Wakefield. This is a truthful look at one group of friend’s childhood, growing-up in south east Michigan. This film takes place between 1997 and 2004.
Nonlinear Narrative is a narrative technique sometimes used in literature, film, hypertext websites and other narratives, where events are portrayed, for example, out of chronological order or in other ways where the narrative does not follow the direct causality pattern of the events featured.
Experimental film or avant-garde cinema is a mode of filmmaking that rigorously re-evaluates cinematic conventions and explores non-narrative forms and alternatives to traditional narratives or methods of working.
