Awakening

“Awakening” is a dark, whimsical, comedy about a young widow Cora, grieving the sudden loss of her husband. Lost and sad, Cora returns to her hometown in hopes to heal herself. Initially, she feels isolated and hopeless, until she is reacquainted (in the most awkward places) with her blunt childhood imaginary friend, Kenny Awa, who encourages Cora to face her fear. With his guidance, Cora is befriended by three opinionated grandmothers, who help her reconnect to the world.
