Is That You?

Is That You?A long ride up a rough road
drives you into my mind…
’cause I need you, when I can’t get through
a day that’s been unkind.

As I send a prayer out there on the wind,
the sun lays a ray of hope on my skin.
And for a little while,
I can sense your grace, and it makes me smile.

(chorus)
When it’s too dark to see,
I feel a hand guiding me,
a spirit shining through…
Is that you?

I roll down to the river,
the old park bench is gone.
I surrender, where the willows weep,
my soul is in your arms.

There goes a shooting star in the sky,
healing my heart, one beat at a time.
Somehow the heavens knew
I’d be here tonight, in search of you.

(chorus)
When it’s too dark to see,
I feel a hand guiding me,
a spirit shining through…
Is that you?

(bridge)
Nothing seems as real to me,
as all the things I cannot see.
Signs of you are everywhere,
calling from the misty air,
convincing me you’re there.

I turn back toward the highway,
the cars are flying fast…
as the shadows dancing on the ground
escape into the past.

The road up ahead may still be unknown,
but filled with your love I’ll find my way home…
because I do believe
you will always be watching over me.

(chorus)
When it just hurts too much,
I feel the warmth of a touch.
While it’s nothing I can prove,
it’s enough to pull me through…
Is that you?
Is that you?
Yeah, it must be you!
