holding the bat
firm grip, she ready to attack
and they don’t even know it
their negativity don’t show it
swing to the back
eyes following the ball
like its a map
and swiftly through each base
no words and a blank face
she holds the ship in one place
just like an anchor
she got the (high) tides under control
and one day you’ll thank her
for helping her bring the ball to the goal
(cause she’s the anchor)
call her up
in need of help
anytime
anywhere
and shell be there
cause she’s the anchor
just stole ur base
hear the cheering fans like broadway
and u didn’t even now it
your negativity shows it
sprint to the next
eyes don’t know where to go
what to expect
no words and blank faces
as she slides and steals the bases
just like an anchor
she got the (high) tides under control
and one day you’ll thank her
for helping her bring the ball to the goal
(cause she’s the anchor)
call her up
in need of help
anytime
anywhere
and shell be there
cause she’s the anchor
