“Nevermore” is a dramatic thriller short that pays homage to Lewis Carrols Alice in Wonderland and Aldous Huxley The Doors of Perception by using a combination of CG, 2D, and traditional Stop-Motion practical effects. “Why is a raven like a writer’s desk?” helped inspire create a surreal lucid world in which a raven is up having trouble writing during the night. The price for creativity is a battle in perception and one’s mind. The film’s original score was created by Peter Phan, also known as Saint Peter on Spotify. In efforts to utilize different aspects of animation, the film used 3D camera tracking, which was then animated in traditional cell then colored in plasticine collages.
