This work is inspired by the biblical story of the Tower of Babel, and places it in contemporary architectural contexts. The artist uses a drone to video record the façades of residential buildings throughout the country, face-on from the air, as it ascends from the first floor to the last. In post-production editing, he then extracts a single floor from each recorded façade, and joins them together to form an endless video sequence of a residential building made up of the various architectural variations of residential buildings in Israel – from old to new, low-income to affluent, central region to periphery; an endless, fraught, and emblematic Tower of Babel.
