An action drama set in Los Angeles about a woman who wants to put an end to sex trafficking. After years in captivity and searching for a way to help others from falling into predators’ hands, she realizes that only she can bring justice, but it must be done behind a mask and in secret.
“Lady Justice” (USA) directed by Saray D. Guidetti, nominee Best Action Short, is confirmed for the lineup of the Indie Short Fest November premiere screening at Raleigh Studios Hollywood on Friday 29th, 6 pm.
With cast and crew to participate in a Q&A after the screening of the film.
“After the filming of ‘Lady Justice’ even our own actress, Mariana Vicente, experienced the reality of it (sex trafficking and human trafficking,) while she was at a family wedding in Puerto Rico and was approached by someone who told her she would sell for a lot in the black market. Luckily she managed to get help and out of the situation. We don’t think it can happen to us, but sadly no one really is completely guarded against it”, recall director Saray D. Guidetti. “Consider this film not only as an art piece but as a way to start a conversation about trafficking”, she adds.
