Inside a quiet suburban home, three old friends reconnect, making stilted conversation. Something happens outside. They don’t know what it is, but the event impacts each differently, JIL sees something, JON hears it, JIM feels it—so they all think. The ambiguity causes each to question what they think they know. This outside event, though seemingly far removed from the house becomes a catalyst that exacerbates a communication breakdown, what happens when we fail to try to understand one another. Fighting with each other becomes the terror they were trying to hide from. It also becomes the way they cope. Though they don’t know what’s outside, there’s a lure to the unknown.
