“Lady Liberty” is an honest look at the discomfort, anxiety, and humor of coming out in one’s mid-twenties.
Shea is an aspiring comic who longs to live outside the shadow of her celebrity boss’s fame. After she’s dumped by her first (secret) love, Shea begins to explore her queer identity and confides in a stranger, Quinn, a cool confident gay woman.
Acceptance doesn’t happen in a day, but after a lifetime of ignoring her gut, she is finally giving herself permission to explore and figure out her new identity.
With humor and heart, LADY LIBERTY explores identity, queerness, vulnerability, acceptance, ambition, fear, shame, community, confidence, passion, and belonging.
