Touching The Past

Posted by

This film journeys to the shores of Turkey, Greece, and Croatia, to document architectural projects that have withstood the test of time – not by remaining the same, but rather by continually transforming and continually reinventing themselves to the dynamic conditions of the present. Too often, a building’s preservation is achieved through a complete disconnection from the very cultures that gave it significance. This is the death of the architecture. In contrast, this film celebrates buildings that achieve preservation through a more meaningful connection to the society in which it lives.

Directed by Simon McKenzi and Nigel Goodwin (USA)
