A man convicted of identity theft is sent to a prison run by Zen Buddhists. The warden, a Zen Buddhist master, informs him he must solve a koan (a spiritual riddle) in order to be released. He meditates for four long years, and despite being ridiculed and challenged by the other inmates, he finally solves the koan. As he is released, he steals the master’s credit cards and ID, and gives the unwitting master a koan of his own to ponder.
